Disclaimer
What this site is and is not: general information, not professional advice, and a browser timer that must not be your only alarm for anything that matters.
General information only
timer15minute.com provides countdown timers and short articles about using blocks of time. Everything on this site is published for general information and general use. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone qualified who knows your circumstances.
The timer is not a safety device
This is the disclaimer that matters most on a timer site, so it is first.
The countdown runs inside your web browser. Browsers and operating systems routinely suspend background tabs, mute audio, sleep the device, or close a tab to reclaim memory. Your device may be on silent, the volume may be down, or the browser may block sound until you have interacted with the page. Any of these can mean the alarm does not reach you.
Do not use this site as your only alarm where a missed or late alarm has real consequences. That includes medication and medical treatment, clinical or laboratory work, driving or operating machinery, industrial and safety-critical processes, examinations, legal or filing deadlines, catching transport, and unattended cooking. Use a dedicated physical timer or a device alarm as well.
Timing accuracy
The countdown is calculated from your own device's clock rather than counted frame by frame, which is why it does not drift in a background tab. It is still only as accurate as that clock and as responsive as your browser allows. Do not rely on it for competitive timing, scientific measurement, or any purpose where a second matters.
Health, fitness and wellbeing content
Pages about workouts, HIIT, Tabata, stretching, yoga, breathing, meditation, napping and similar topics describe common practice in general terms. They are not medical advice, not physiotherapy, and not a treatment plan.
Exercise carries risk. Speak to a doctor or a qualified professional before starting or changing a routine, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or illness, have a heart, joint or respiratory condition, or are returning to activity after a long break. Stop if something hurts. Nothing here is tailored to you, because nothing here knows anything about you.
Study and productivity content
Suggestions about focus, revision and working in blocks reflect common practice and general research. Results vary from person to person, and nothing on this site guarantees a grade, an outcome, or a particular level of productivity.
Accuracy of information
We aim to keep everything here correct and current, and we correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, we make no warranty that the content is complete, accurate or up to date, and we accept no liability for any action taken on the basis of it. If you spot an error, please tell us at contact@timer-15-minute.com.
