There are no affiliate links on this site. Nothing here earns a commission when you click it or buy something. Where a product, method or piece of research is named, it is named because it is relevant, not because anyone is paid for the mention.

Editorial independence
Because there is no advertiser, sponsor or affiliate partner, there is nobody whose interests could shape the content. That is the main practical benefit of the funding arrangement above, and the reason it is worth stating.
